How We Use It
Information you provide is used to:
- Evaluate whether PlainlyBooked is a good fit for your business
- Scope and provide bookkeeping services, once an engagement agreement is in place
- Respond to your inquiries and follow up on consultation requests
- Send a requested resource, like our free checklist, and follow-up emails related to it
- Meet legal and professional recordkeeping obligations
If you opt in when requesting a resource, we may also send occasional bookkeeping tips by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails, or by emailing hello@plainlybooked.com directly.
We do not sell your information to third parties.
How Financial Documents Are Handled
Documents you upload are used solely to evaluate or perform bookkeeping work for your business. An initial document upload is a first look to help scope the engagement. It does not by itself create an ongoing service relationship, which begins only after a signed engagement agreement.
Access to your financial data is limited to the individuals directly performing work on your account.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate this business, each with their own privacy practices:
- QuickBooks Online: accounting software used to perform bookkeeping work
- Credly: used to verify professional certification credentials
- Calendly: used to schedule consultations. When you book a time, Calendly collects the name, email, and any details you provide during booking
- Google Analytics: used to understand site traffic, only if you accept analytics cookies through this site's cookie consent banner
- Google reCAPTCHA: used to prevent spam on our forms. This site's use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service
- A secure form or document intake service, once connected, for handling consultation requests and document uploads
